Computerworld ran tests about the speed of web browsers, comparing the latest version of Firefox to other web browsers.
It is slower than Apple’s Safari or Google Chrome when rendering JavaScript but faster than Internet Explorer and Opera.
Computerworld used the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark suite to conduct the tests in a Windows XP with Service Pack 3 operating system. The web browsers were tested three times each and the average speed was determined to conclude the final rankings.
